Script Store and SDK releases
Package and publish instant scripts, modules, and shared libraries.
The Scripts tab can browse, search, download, vote on, and publish Lua scripts. Saving the selected source writes it to disk; publishing uploads that saved version. Confirming that a downloaded script should load in the editor does not run it.
| Package | Required source | Installed path |
|---|---|---|
| Instant | One Lua file, up to 256 KiB to run | Scripts/instant/<id>.lua |
| Library | One Lua file, up to 256 KiB to import | Scripts/lib/<id>.lua |
| Module | Select modules/<id>/main.lua; sibling files are included | Scripts/modules/<id>/main.lua and siblings |
The store checks Lua 5.5.1 syntax without running the upload. Module packages may be up to 25 MiB. Choose the module's main.lua when publishing it; the Scripts tab packages the files in that module's folder. You do not need to prepare a ZIP or add a package file yourself.
Keep each Lua file at or below the Scripts tab's 256 KiB run limit, even though the store accepts an individual source upload up to 512 KiB. A successful upload does not guarantee a larger file can run in the Scripts tab.
The Scripts tab separately offers Download latest SDK and Download example scripts. SDK libraries are installed into Scripts/lib/. Locally edited library and example files are preserved when you download updates. Neither operation runs a downloaded script. Restart a running module after an SDK update to import the new library.
If a download fails, retry from the Scripts tab and check the displayed error. A running module keeps its imported library version until you restart it.
